Anti-social behaviour reports around Halewood rose from 8 to 22 in the year to April 2026, almost three times as many as a year earlier, according to police.uk figures published by Merseyside Police and the Home Office.

The jump of 175% is one of the sharpest moves in any single crime category in the town. For a place the size of Halewood, it means roughly one extra report every two days compared with last spring.

The figures come from police.uk, the official street-level crime service. Each incident is plotted at an approximate map point rather than its exact address, and the count covers a radius of about a mile around the town for the single month of April 2026. The numbers record reports logged by Merseyside Police, not charges or convictions, and a month’s total can shift depending on how and when incidents are recorded. They show the direction of travel rather than an exact tally.

Anti-social behaviour is a broad category. It covers nuisance, rowdy or inconsiderate conduct and other low-level disorder reported to police, rather than a single type of offence.

What the published data cannot show is why the reports have risen, or how much of the increase reflects more incidents rather than more people coming forward to report them. Those questions sit with Merseyside Police and the borough’s community safety partnership.

Residents can check the latest street-level figures for their own postcode at police.uk. The next monthly update will show whether April’s rise holds or eases.
